The short version: Use ReconKit only on systems you own or have permission to test. Do not use it for surveillance, harassment, or illegal activity.

Acceptance

By using ReconKit, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the tool.

Permitted use

ReconKit is provided for:

  • Personal privacy awareness — understanding what you expose when browsing
  • Security education and research
  • Testing systems you own or have explicit permission to test
  • Demonstrating fingerprinting techniques in educational contexts

Prohibited use

You may not use ReconKit to:

  • Investigate, track, or profile individuals without their knowledge and consent
  • Conduct surveillance or stalking of any kind
  • Attack, probe, or test systems you do not own or lack permission to access
  • Facilitate harassment, discrimination, or harm to any person
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation in your jurisdiction

No warranty

ReconKit is provided as-is, without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Fingerprint data, IP lookups, and breach results are indicative, not authoritative. Do not make legal or security decisions based solely on this tool.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReconKit and its contributors are not liable for any damages arising from your use or misuse of this tool.

Third-party services

Some features use third-party APIs (ipapi.co, AbuseIPDB, VirusTotal, HaveIBeenPwned). Use of those services is subject to their own terms. ReconKit is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

Open source licence

ReconKit is released under the MIT Licence. You are free to use, modify, and distribute it in accordance with that licence.

Changes

These terms may be updated occasionally. Continued use of the tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
